Halloween
We decided to visit downtown Lawrence this year and it turns out that was a good decision. Lawrence has some fun people and entertaining people. We started on 9th street and walked down to Freestate Brewery then back up to 9th. It took an hour and in that amount of time Natalie had almost a full bucket of candy! In addition to all the people dressed up, there were also some dogs dressed up!

Halloween Costume
This year for Halloween Natalie’s choice of costumes ranged far and wide, but they always included wings! Malia and I worked the night before making wings out of wire, and Malia woke up yesterday morning quite early and began putting the fabric on the wings. I ran to the dollar store and bought out all of the white feather boa’s that they had.

Rees Fruit Farm Field Trip
Today was the CPLS kindergarten field trip to Rees Fruit Farm. The farm is located right on Hwy 24 and is hard to miss. We left the school at 930a and I had my daughter and her friend Haven in the car. Let me tell you, I never knew two girls could talk so much, so loudly about anything that literally popped into their heads! Basically we did three things; pick pumpkins from the patch, take a hayride through the orchard, and tour their processing plant.
