Cycle Two

Second to last chemo treatment in this cycle, and hopefully the last until after surgery. The doctor told us today that if Nathan stays on track with how he has been progressing we should have the surgery to remove the tumor the week of the 20th. He’s responded very well to the treatment and his oncologist feels that he’s on track for that.

We are scheduled for a cat scan on the 14th and the doctor will send those to KU-Med for the surgeon to go over. Ultimately it will be his call as to whether we move ahead with surgery or stay on with chemo. If the surgery happens the week of the 20th then he will be off chemo while his body recovers for a few weeks, and then he will start back up with the last four cycles.
